About me
I qualified as a counsellor in 2011, completing my Masters in Counselling in 2012. I have worked supporting people for over 22 years in diverse settings, including organisations, private practice and as a counselling trainer/lecturer.
I am also a fully trained counselling supervisor.
I have experience of supporting people with:
-
anxiety
-
depression
-
bereavement
-
stress
-
trauma
-
relationship issues
-
sexuality
-
loss
-
abuse
-
addiction
-
gender identity
-
low self-esteem
-
relationship diversity
-
and many other issues that seem too difficult to deal with on your own
I believe we are all individual and unique and that each person will need different things from counselling. Primarily, I feel that the most important thing is the relationship between us. Alongside this I use an integrative, person-centred approach, which means we work in a way that best suits you, drawing on various approaches to support you through the counselling process.
I aim to provide a safe, empathic, affirming space for you to reflect and explore your own understanding and ways forward.
